Viktoriya est doctorante en seconde ann\u00e9e de th\u00e8se en cotutelle entre l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lorraine (laboratoire Interpsy, Prof. Ariane Bazan) et l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles (laboratoire de Neurophysiologie et Biom\u00e9canique du mouvement, Prof. Ana Maria Cebolla Alvarez).<\/span><\/p>\n

Elle est titulaire du Master en Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience<\/em>, obtenu \u00e0 la Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin<\/em> et du Master en Sciences Psychologiques, \u00e0 finalit\u00e9 psychologie clinique et psychopathologie, obtenu \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles.<\/p>\n

Sa double formation refl\u00e8te son go\u00fbt pour l\u2019interdisciplinarit\u00e9 et son souhait de tisser des liens entre la recherche et la pratique clinique, les neurosciences et la psychologie, le corps et l\u2019esprit.<\/p>\n

Le sujet de sa th\u00e8se vise \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la relation entre les oscillations alpha, l\u2019inhibition linguistique et les processus primaires et secondaires d\u00e9crits par Freud. A cette fin, elle utilise la technique d\u2019\u00e9lectroenc\u00e9phalographie (EEG), coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 des outils linguistiques d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s par l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Prof. Ariane Bazan dans le but de mesurer de mani\u00e8re objective les processus primaires et secondaires. Le titre provisoire de la th\u00e8se: “Le r\u00f4le des oscillations alpha dans l\u2019inhibition\/le refoulement de stimuli linguistiques : une \u00e9tude \u00e0 l\u2019interface de la psychanalyse et des neurosciences motrices”.<\/p>\n

Abstract<\/b>
\nObjective \u00a0<\/b>To investigate the association of combined serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) and retinal optical coherence tomography (OCT) measurements with future disease activity in patients with early multiple sclerosis (MS).<\/div>\n
Methods \u00a0<\/b>We analyzed sNfL by single molecule array technology and performed OCT measurements in a prospective cohort of 78 patients with clinically isolated syndrome and early relapsing-remitting MS with a median (interquartile range) follow-up of 23.9 (23.3\u201324.7) months. Patients were grouped into those with abnormal or normal sNfL levels, defined as sNfL \u2265\/<80th percentile of age-corrected reference values. Likewise, patients were grouped by a median split into those with thin or thick ganglion cell and inner plexiform layer (GCIP), peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer, and inner nuclear layer in nonoptic neuritis eyes. Outcome parameters were violation of no evidence of disease activity (NEDA-3) criteria or its components.<\/div>\n
Results\u00a0<\/b>Patients with abnormal baseline sNfL had a higher risk of violating NEDA-3 (hazard ratio [HR] 2.28, 95% CI 1.27\u20134.09, p = 0.006) and developing a new brain lesion (HR 2.47, 95% CI 1.30\u20134.69, p = 0.006), but not for a new relapse (HR 2.21, 95% CI 0.97\u20135.03, p = 0.058). Patients with both abnormal sNfL and thin GCIP had an even higher risk for NEDA-3 violation (HR 3.61, 95% CI 1.77\u20137.36, p = 4.2e\u22124), new brain lesion (HR 3.19, 95% CI 1.51\u20136.76, p = 0.002), and new relapse (HR 5.38, 95% CI 1.61\u201317.98, p = 0.006) than patients with abnormal sNfL alone.<\/div>\n
Conclusions<\/strong> In patients with early MS, the presence of both abnormal sNfL and thin GCIP is a stronger risk factor for future disease activity than the presence of each parameter alone.<\/div>\n
