Psychoanalysis and Neurosciences

Science and ‘truth’ are different modalities of knowledge. For each of the proposed building blocks of the architecture of the mental apparatus which were my objects of study so far – the signifier, repression, the primary and secondary processes, jouissance and the compulsion to repeat – I propose a scientific reading (“science”) and truth revealing testimonies (“vérité”). This is to show, in the end, that science helps us to understand what we know already.
